Hugh Peterson, Jr.|Chairman of the Board
Hugh is Chairman of the Board of VNS Corporation, which is engaged in the sale and distribution of building materials and providing construction services in Georgia and throughout the United States. Mr. Peterson is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. Following law school, Mr. Peterson served for three years as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army. In 1963, he joined the firm of King and Spalding in Atlanta. His practice ranged from general corporate matters to the representation of corporate clients in federal and criminal investigations. He retired as a partner at the end of 1992 and in1993 was elected President and CEO of VNS Corporation. In 2005 Mr. Peterson was elected Chairman of the Board.
Gary R. Campbell | President and CEO
Gary is the President and CEO of VNS Corporation and is on the Board of Directors. VNS Corporation, a building products and construction services company, is the largest privately held Building Material Company in Georgia and is parent company to Choo Choo Build-It Mart, Wholesale Building Products, Bestline Sash and Door, TrussMart Building Components, LLC, and ProCon Construction Services, LLC . Gary is a native of Vidalia, Georgia and graduated from Georgia Southern University. He has been employed with VNS since college and has served in various capacities within VNS. He was elected President of the Company in 2005 and CEO in 2011. Gary is an active community volunteer and was Vidalia’s Citizen of the Year in 2003. He is also a member and past Director of the Construction Suppliers Association of Georgia and is a trustee of the CSA Self Insured Fund.
Loyd Mobley | Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Purchasing and Corporate Development
Loyd embarked on a career with VNS Corporation in 1973 as Manager of Bestline Sash and Door. Promoted to Director of Purchasing and General Manager of Wholesale Building products, Loyd expanded the Company’s vision to become one of the most respected building products suppliers in the Southeast. Loyd has dedicated his lifetime experience to offer our customers the highest quality products and services at the most competitive prices. During his 35 plus years with VNS Corporation, Loyd has held the position of Director of Sales, General Manager of Wholesale Building Products and OSHA Compliance Officer for the Company. Loyd’s current roles include Director of Purchasing and Corporate Development; as well as Corporate Safety Officer, and Fleet Management Officer. In his off time, Loyd loves to play golf and is an essential member of the community.
Brian Fabacher | Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining VNS, Brian most recently worked in banking and international business where he served initially as the CFO and ultimately President of Lynch Systems, an international supplier for glass forming equipment. In this capacity Brian spent the last 12 years traveling internationally selling and installing machines that formed glass tableware in Europe, Asia and South America. He was also recently part owner and served as a director of the “Princess House” a hand blown glass manufacturing company in Weston, West Virginia. Brian possesses a CPA, having earned a B.S. degree in business from Louisiana Sate University, Baton Rouge, and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University, Atlanta. After a brief period as consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, he embarked on a career in management in the building materials industry, assuming both operations and accounting positions with Lafarge Corporation (formerly Blue Circle, Inc) and Lynch Systems serving as its Chief Financial Officer, and subsequent positions as its Senior Vice President and General Manager and President. Brian’s immediate value to VNS is serving as the “financial conscience” of the company. In that, he provides leadership on the company’s financial strategy and business planning as well as timely, accurate and relevant management and financial information, focusing on establishing proactive cost control strategies throughout the organization to maximize efficiency and increased profitability. He also actively participates in sales, analysis of corporate acquisitions, investments or capital expenditures, and divestitures. Brian was elected to the Board of Directors for the Construction Suppliers Association (CSA) in 2012. He was recently elected as the 2014 Rotary Club President for the Vidalia, Georgia chapter.
Rodney Brooks | Executive Vice President and Corporate Credit Manager
Rodney is an Executive Vice President and Corporate Credit Manager for VNS Corporation. He has been with the Company since 1976. Rodney is a graduate of Brewton Parker College in Ailey, Georgia, attended the University of Georgia and George College and State University, Milledgeville, Georgia. During his tenure with VNS Corporation his department has grown from several thousand dollars into several million dollars in accounts receivables. He is an industry expert in the area of credit and lien laws and has spoken at various industry events on these topics. Rodney enjoys spending time on his farm and at his cabin with his family and grandchildren.
Jim Hershey | Executive Vice President and Director of Sales
Jim joined the VNS Corporation Executive Management team with over 30 years of experience in the building materials industry. Jim brings strengths in sales, leadership, operations management, business development, acquisitions and team building. Jim began his career in sales and training, became a general manager for an independent building supply company at an early age and later became a consultant, recruiter and professional speaker for Lee Resources. In 1996, Jim joined one of his clients as General Manager and partner, Magbee Contractors Supply, where they profitably grew that business from a small single location to a multi-location $100 million business. During the recession, Jim helped several businesses return to profitability. His most recent position before joining VNS was with Randall Brothers as Vice President of Sales. Jim earned his BBA and MBA from the University of Georgia. Jim, his wife Elizabeth, their 3 mostly grown children and their families reside locally in Georgia.
Scott Crutchfield | Senior Vice President and Vice President of Manufacturing
Scott graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a B.S in Marketing. From August 2003 through June 2004 he worked as Director of Sales and Development for Bestline Sash and Door. Scott served as General Manager and Vice President of Bestline from June 2004 – August 2011. Scott was promoted to Sr. Vice President of VNS Corporation, his responsibilities include oversight over Bestline Sash & Door in Ailey and TrussMart Building Components, LLC in Midway, GA. Scott has served on the Board of the East Georgia FCA and the Dream Center in Vidalia. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Lyons and he has served as a deacon and Sunday school director
Elaine Simpson | Vice President and Director of Human Resources
Margie Beasley | Vice President and Director of Training
Margie graduated from Brewton Parker College with a BS in Information Technology and has over 17 years’ experience in the field of Information Technology. Before finishing her degree in 1999, she was already gaining valuable technical experience as an Application support and PC technician. In her 14 years with Oxford Industries, she held many positions in the technology arena including application support, inventory management, internal customer support, programming and network support and internal training for various MS Office applications. While working for Darby Bank & Trust, Ms. Beasley gained great exposure to Microsoft SharePoint while re-developing and managing the company intranet. In her role as IT Analyst, she worked with Crystal Reports and SQL Server to accommodate various departmental reporting needs. Other responsibilities included in-house training and application support. In addition to internal training, Ms. Beasley has also taught Microsoft Office and computing classes at Southeastern Technical Institute in Vidalia, GA.

Greg Bangert | General Manager, Lake Oconee, GA
Greg joined VNS Corporation in 2013 bringing over 35 years of experience in the building material industry. Greg’s strengths are in Sales, Operations Management, Leadership and Business Development. Greg had recently been part of the successful growth of two Building Material Supplier leaders in the Southern Region, Manning Building Supplies based in Florida and Wilson Lumber Company based in Alabama. Greg recently resides on the 2015 Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA) Board of Directors. He enjoys being part of the community and outdoor activities.
Tim Howard | Vice President and General Manager, Dublin & Perry, GA
Tim brings twenty three years of sales and management experience to the Choo Choo team. Tim began his career in commercial sales. Tim was the manager of the Dublin Choo Choo store when it merged with the East Dublin location opening our second largest Choo Choo store in Dublin located on Hwy 257 & I-16. Tim worked in the corporate office as Sales Manager for two years and opened a new location in Bonaire in 2004. Tim’s vast knowledge in the construction industry has provided him opportunities to sell single family production homes, custom homes, multi-family projects, and government and commercial projects including hotels. Tim is a Member of the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board for several years. Also, Tim is a member and deacon of his church where he provides youth leadership.
Joe Inman | Vice President and General Manager, Rincon and Richmond Hill
Joe has a rich history with VNS Corporation. Starting with the Company in 1987, in the delivery and service department, Joe has served the Company in various roles. Joe has experience in Outside Sales, Regional Sales Management, Corporate Service Management, and has managed several Choo Choo Build-It Mart stores. Joe has concentrated most of his time in the Coastal Markets from South Carolina to below Jacksonville, FL. Most recently Joe was asked to manage the Rincon Choo Choo Build-It Mart store which includes Savannah, Richmond Hill and Coastal South Carolina markets. Joe truly “Helps his Customer be Successful”. Joe has always provided his customer’s with excellent service and built solid relationships.
Craig Mullins | Store Manager, Jacksonville, FL
Craig joined VNS Corporation in 2010, bringing 37 years of experience in the building material industry to the Choo Choo Build-It Mart Team. Craig began his career with us as an Independent Sales Representative in our Kingsland, Ga. location. He then helped open our Jacksonville, Fl. Choo Choo Build-It Mart location as the Business Development Manager and today, represents us at that location as Vice President and Store Manager. Prior to Craig being in sales and management, his career started in the mountains of Virginia as a frontline man working for Roper Lumber with various positions. Throughout his career, he has constantly been a top producer in sales. While working for Granger Lumber in Jacksonville, Fl. he was promoted to Vice President of Sales. Craig attended Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary and graduated from John Tyler College in Chester, Virginia. Other accomplishments for Craig include being married for 27 year to Jeanne Mullins and raising two college age children, Candice and Bryce. When Craig is not busy working he enjoys time with his family, yard work, golf and surf fishing.
Daniel Faircloth | Vice President and Store Manager, Kingsland, GA
Daniel joined the VNS family in 2000, when he began working with Choo Choo Build-It Mart as a Paint Specialist in the West Dublin location. It was there that he gained experience in Millwork and Contractor Sales. In 2005, Daniel became Location Manager for a new Warner Robins Contractor Yard, located in Bonaire, GA. In 2013, the store was relocated to a larger facility in Perry, GA. During those eight years, Daniel gained sales and management experience regarding single- family, multi-family and commercial projects. In February 2014, he became the Store Manager of our Choo Choo Build-It Mart in Kingsland, GA, which also includes responsibilities for two Millwork showrooms located in Kingsland and Brunswick, GA. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Georgia Southern University. Additionally, he holds an Associate of Science Degree in both Business Administration and Political Science/Pre-law from Middle Georgia College.
Wholesale Building Products
Ryan Roberson | Vice President and General Manager, Vidalia, GA
Ryan joined the VNS family in 2005 and was soon promoted to the position of General Manager of Wholesale Building Products (WBP) which specializes in selling large multi-family construction projects, student housing, HUD remodeling projects, military privatized housing, hotels, and light commercial construction projects. Ryan is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.B.A. in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation. Ryan has been responsible for facilitating contract management and planning and controlling the flow of building materials to the jobsite when they are needed.
Bestline Sash and Door
Gary Dykes | Vice President and General Manager, Ailey, GA
Gary has worked in the millwork business since 1991 when he joined the VNS Corporation team. In 1996 be was promoted to the Production Manager of Bestline and later promoted to the Administrative Manager in 2002. Gary worked in outside sales for three years where we gain first hand experience understanding the needs of the customer. In August 2011 Gary accepted the position of General Manager. Gary extensive background in millwork has allowed the division to grow and expand not only their production but into several other product lines.
ProCon Construction Services, LLC
Kevin Sanders | President and CEO
Kevin has been in the building industry business since 1978. Kevin’s experience is in sales, drawing plans, material take-offs and construction management . Outside of work Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
Clay Martin | Senior Vice President and Director of Operations, Vidalia, GA
Clay is a Georgia Tech graduate with over thirty years experience in the construction industry. His extensive and diversified training in estimating and project management made a very sound foundation for his leadership as Sr. Vice President & Director of Operations of our construction company. Clay’s experience spans the whole breadth of the construction industry working in management for a commercial general contractors and a masonry subcontractor before joining ProCon Construction Services in the spring of 2012. During that period Clay has worked his way up holding the positions of project engineer, project manager, estimator, senior project manager, chief estimator, operations manager and division manager. Clay and his project management team at ProCon are highly regarded by Owner and Contractor alike for their professionalism, attention to detail and high standards for customer service.
